Is Vegetable Oil Bad?

Is Vegetable Oil Bad?

Our mission is to clean up junk food to help reclaim our health.

Are vegetable oils bad?  They may be worse than refined sugar!

Vegetable oils were garbage in 1860, fertilizer in 1870, cattle feed in 1880, soap in 1900, food in 1910 and now 20% of our standard diet.

Why? Because profits. So much profit that we now eat 10x more than we did in 1940.

The packaged food industry and food system is full of vegetable oil.  It's so abundant, that we are overconsuming it at deadly rate (over 20% of our diet). That's creating chronic inflammation in our bodies by boosting our omega 6. The result is a toxic omega 6:3 ratio that is now 15 times higher than ideal and damaging our health.  In fact, vegetable oil is the 3rd highest death risk factor behind only 1) obesity and 2) smoking.

With your help, it’s our mission to clean up vegetable oil from junk food so please:

- read ingredient labels and avoid vegetable oils in packaged food

- cook at home with healthy fat/oils

- be mindful when you eat out as most restaurants use some form of vegetable oil

Vegetable oils aren’t inherently bad but the most common types are heavily processed, heated to toxic temperatures, and over consumed.

Together, we can help clean our food system and rebuild our health.
