What’s the best?  Short answer, it depends on what works for your body and where you are on your health journey. With that said, often eliminating conventional dairy helps improve overall health given the high level of intolerance.

Pick organic if possible and please READ the ingredients and avoid weird stuff like gums, additives, vegetable oils, and natural flavors.

Cow‘s milk: the OG milk but a few reasons to avoid conventional dairy as you age.
🚩 you have unexplained stomach problems, dairy intolerance may be as high as 84%!
🚩 if you have a gluten allergy or sensitivity, known gluten cross-reactor = eating dairy is has the same effect as eating gluten.
✅ milk proteins are some of the best sources of amino acids out there
✅ if dairy works for you, please try to buy organic and check out A2 dairy or grass-fed options.

Coconut milk: is allergen friendly, loaded with nutrition, and my favorite!
✅  high in manganese, magnesium, iron and phosphorus, with a good amount of potassium, zinc, and B-vitamins.
✅ loaded with healthy fats that can reduce inflammation to promote gut health.

Nut milks: if you can tolerate them, nut milks are a great option! 
✅ associated with impressive health benefits due to healthy fats, high mineral content and high polyphenol content of nuts.

Pea milk: if you can tolerate, this can be a good option.
✅ made from isolated pea protein, which can good for the gut microbiome

Hemp milk: if you can tolerate, it’s a great option as well.

Oat milk: so hot right now but I would avoid & read the ingredients! If it’s your thing, please buy organic.

🚩 benefits of oat fiber are lost in processing.

Soy milk: better options and this one has just too many red flags
🚩 may be a hormone disruptor
🚩 top 3 GMO crop
🚩 may cause inflammation and disrupt your gut health
🚩 antinutrients with potential negative effect on your health
